I'm Natalie, a full-time freelance graphic designer working in Portland, Oregon. I specialize in book cover design because I have an unbridled enthusiasm for visual storytelling. It’s such an entertaining puzzle to be asked to let a viewer have, in one glimpse, an idea of a whole story.
I began my career working in-house for Vintage Books at Random House in New York, before going back to school and receiving my MFA in Design at School of Visual Arts in 2005.
Since then I have been running my own studio designing for a variety of publishers, including Bloomsbury USA, Other Press, Random House, Penguin, Simon and Schuster, and Harper Collins.
